The Approach

About clinical pilates

Clinical Pilates takes the core principles of Pilates — breath, control, alignment, and precision — and adapts exercises to your individual needs. Movements may be simplified, supported with springs, or positioned differently so you can work with good form and confidence.

The focus is on building a strong, stable center, improving joint mobility, and developing body awareness that carries into everyday activities. Exercises are progressed gradually as your strength and control improve.

Clinical Pilates at Zona is an exercise and movement service. It is not physical therapy treatment, does not replace care from your physician or physical therapist, and is not billed as medical treatment. If you are recovering from an injury or surgery, ask our team whether a physical therapy evaluation should come first.

Focus Areas

  • Movement modifications

Prefer to talk it through? Call 678-765-0909.

Is clinical Pilates the same as physical therapy?

No. Clinical Pilates is an exercise service. Physical therapy involves an evaluation and treatment by a licensed physical therapist. If you have pain or a recent injury, our team can help you decide whether physical therapy is the better place to start.

Is clinical Pilates covered by insurance?

Pilates sessions are not billed as medical treatment. See our pricing page or call our team to discuss options.

Do I need Pilates experience?

No. Sessions start where you are, and exercises are introduced and modified step by step.

Can I do clinical Pilates after finishing physical therapy?

Many people use Pilates to continue building strength after therapy. Check with your physical therapist or physician about any restrictions first.
